The sky crack’d from side to side

I promised photos from my vintage Smena Symbol, so here’s one to kick things off. Often I have trouble thinking of titles for my photos, but I’ve had this one stored up in the back of my brain ever since I took it, taking obvious inspiration from an Agatha Christie novel.
Pretty much all the photos from my first roll were taken on my campus at the University of Queensland, as I’m there pretty much every day. Luckily for me, it’s a beautiful campus. This particular photo was one of my (more successful) early experiments with the focus, as I was trying to have the background slightly out-of-focus. And it looks like I managed to achieve that! Now that I look at the picture in greater detail, the building in the distance looks uncannily like a camera itself, with the viewfinder on the right-hand side….
